So I'm pretty much starting out as a freelance photographer. While I've done shoots for people in the past, I never had a legitamate price package for people. Generally I would charge by hour (around $100/hr) and if there is any extras such as need for prints, I would just up the price a little relative to prices for printing. Usually I would include the CD with all of the photos in JPG unedited, and then include editing as an extra surcharge. Though my method of charging sounds a little lax, my question to all of you guys is how anyone else here goes about charging for shoots, say, for family portraits and weddings-or even model shoots. I'd appreciate some feedback and would definitely be interested to know how to go about charging for my work.
